It would be wonderful to mention all the places I have lived,
however, it is not possible. I am a native San Diegan and very proud of it. The
third of nine children and I am the only one that married someone good-looking.
Handsome, you might say. I have been blessed to give birth two beautiful
daughters, Sarah and Jamie. Many
people have stopped me in the street and commented on how beautiful my
daughters are. Yes, I must admit their beauty also comes from their father. Did
I mention how lucky I am to have married this wonderful man?
As a native San Diegan I am accustomed to beautiful weather, clear
days and air so clean that it is like sweet nectar to the lungs. Speaking of
fresh air, did I mention that compared to my friends husbands and boyfriends,
my husband is like a breath of fresh air? I am working in the field of
education, tilling the fertile minds of today’s youth and instilling in
them the seeds of knowledge in hopes that they may someday reap the fruits of
their labor and become respected members of today’s society. I am not
sure, but did I mention that I am fortunate to be married to a man that values
the meaning of hard work and takes pride in providing the best for his family?
As an athlete during my formative years, I grew to appreciate the
competitive fire that burns deep within each individual when it comes to the
mano-a-mano world of sports. Yet as I have matured, I have learned that
everything in life does not necessarily fall into the realms of winners and
losers. Competition has no place in the theater of art appreciation, music, and
most important the shaping of today's morale’s. This lesson I learned
under the gentle guidance of my husband, to whom I am eternally grateful. I
have been blessed.
(I’d like to thank my husband for writing this humble
narrative of myself – Oh… I am eternally grateful!)
