Main Thesis: How to technology, (The Internet) effectively and integrate it into the curriculum?

• Learning should be investigative rather than spoon-fed. The learning must become an active, participate rather than just a casual receptacle

  1. Curriculum as Journey:
  2. -In schools where curriculum is treated more as journey (or a process) rather than as an end, there is the possibility of real learning to take place.

    -Student must develop their own relationship to the data given and be able to construct their version of the "truth."

  3. Strategy One: Provide Good Interfaces

- "A good interface provides many or all of the following elements:

* Selectivity - Helps users cut past info-glut and info-garbage.

* Quality Control and Reliability.

C. Strategy Two: Elevate Prospecting Skills

  1. Strategy Three: Provide Scaffolding and Research Infrastructure

-This "Scaffolding" the author discussed, reminds me of the Hegelian Dialectic

(thesis, anti-thesis and synthesis) the race rather than an end; greyness rather than black or white.
