13. Adoption of Temporary/Hourly Employee Salary Schedule

Dr. Smith stated this was not part of a bargaining unit. Temporary/Hourly employees are not rehired at the end of the school year or term. Currently the GUHSD has no provision to put temporary/hourly employees on a different rate, it’s strictly $9/hr. Helix is proposing a scale to determine various hourly rates. The reasoning behind this is that it is hard to find good help when other districts offer more money. It was moved by Member Sutton to accept adopting this salary schedule. Seconded by Member Wilcox. Motion passed with all in favor.
