B.A. Journalism, university of Nevada-Reno Single subject Credential, English
I grew up in Reno, Nevada. I graduated from Wooster High School and the University of Nevada-Reno. I moved to San Diego in 1985. I worked in the hotel industry as a catering/convention services manager (planning events, like meetings and wedding receptions). I decided to return to school to become a teacher. My first teaching job was at Murrieta (north of Escondido). In 1993, I came to Helix High School to teach Journalism and English.
Right now I have a one year old daughter who is the center of my life. I also enjoy reading and writing. I hope one day to write and publish a novel about my family's immigration to this country. In the spring I plan to begin the master's degree program at SDSU in Writing and Rhetoric.
In-line skating, skiing, and organic gardening.
