Background

I have taught English for 20 years, and Instrumental music for 15 years. I taught the Helix Band and Orchestra from 1971 through 1981. I worked for Princeton Industries from 1981 through 1984, and for the SD County Office of Ed. in 1990 for Project AVID. Chair of Helix Restructuring in 1993-94.

Interests/Activities/Plan

My avocation is composing music. I published my first symphony in 1994. I conduct a trombone ensemble called "Bonafide Brass." My wife and I travel abroad yearly. We enjoy performances of the SD Symphony and Old Globe, as well as Padres baseball.

Other Interesting Things

I enjoy playing chess. Our cat, Norton, weighs 17 pounds and sleeps on my chest. I make presentations to students about preparing for the SAT, and to parents about how to help students study more effectively.
