I grew up in Fresno, California, close to Yosemite and San Francisco. I didn't realize how lucky I was to live so close to beauty and culture until I moved away. I concentrated mostly on school, but did my fair share of "part-time" jobs until I began teaching.
I hope to encourage students to trust their speaking and writing voices and see the value and importance in developing these. Supporting students to be their true authentic self is an interesting of mine which I hope to implement and actualize in the classroom as I gain more experience teaching.
Besides being a avid reader, I also enjoy writing. Traveling a car is something I enjoy, especially to beautiful parks in the United States. Once "there" I enjoy camping and hiking.
