I am a native. Born in Ocean Beach, moved to Lemon Grove at the rip old age of three (so much for a pro surfing career), Graduated from Mt. Miguel in 1964 and S.D.S.U. in 1969. After one year of teaching at El Capitan, I moved to Steamboat Springs, Colorado, for nearly two years and returned in 1973 to land a job at Helix. I have worked in retail sales, men's clothing, construction, moving, restaurants, motel management, the floral business (as owner and designer), and education.
I have absolutely no outside interests...except for outrigger canoe racing, bicycling, swimming and body surfing, reading, art museums, and galleries, blah...blah...blah.
I am a District Resource Teacher completing the second year of a grant creating self-guided art tours for individuals and classes. I have been working this year to create an annotated muesem resourse pageon the web to enable students and faculty to access information on the fine arts.
