Background: The New Deal Programs, started in 1932 and instituted in Roosevelt's tenure in office, often fall under one of three types.


Relief: provided immediate relief to stop unemployment


Recovery: to speed the recovery of industry, commerce and labor


Reform: to remedy a weakness in the economic system
