This package contains the following items:
Expectations:
- This course requires a separate binder, just for this
course.
- All work should be typed and double spaced, with your name
and the title
of the work at the top of the page.
- When work is due, put it in your binder. No work will be
accepted unless it
is in this binder.
- Within the binder, you must provide dividers (and label them)
for each
unit of work.
- Within each section, all work must given a title (Please
title the work
with the exact titles I have provided) and put it in the exact
order the
work was listed. For example, the unit on the Cold War has five
parts.
The first activty is titled (Act 1) Background: Communism
versus
Capitalism. The last activity in this unit is titled:
(Act 5) Rock 'n Roll,
The Crucible and Paul Robeson. In order to receive credit,
I must find
your work labeled and ordered in the manner asked.
Each Unit Will Consist Of. . .
- Between 4-6 activities
- A list of sites, expectations of the work itself, along with
the possible
points for each project. (Note: Most of these projects are short.
However
I highly recommend you read each unit completely before you start
as
there a few longer activities that require more than just a few
hours of
work.)
You will have approximately 17 days for each unit of study.
Test Dates: to be determined
Grades:I grade on a percentage of total points. Grades will
be determined as follows:
- A 100-90%
- B 89-80%
- C 79-70%
- D 69-60%
- F Below 59%
For example, if you receive a paper back from me and you receive
82 out of 100 points that translates to 82% or a B for that work.
Other Issues:
- If a problem arises contact me. ( See numbers listed above.)
- All work must be yours. If you quote a source you
must give it proper credit.
- You need to be mindful of the due dates.
- All late work will be penalized.
- You must meet with me at least once a month.
- My goal for you is to be successful.
- This course is the first course I have offered, via the internet.
As a result, there will be glitches. I really need constructive
criticism from you to improve and work out the bugs.
- I want this class to work for you. I am open to suggestions.
