The HIV Disbeliever by Clarissa Guerrero

The following text is directly from the overview of the senior portfolio in original words of the author.

Project Description: In my project I had a group of volunteers walk in the AIDS Walk 2000. I also got certified as a volunteer at Being Alive AIDS & HIV Center. After the certification was completed I began to volunteer at the Clinic and handle the drop-in center. I also interviewed a person living with AIDS. I also designed a fifth teen to twenty-minute exercise routine to be held at the clinic in the future.

Connection to Paper: In my project I had the opportunity to work with people who already were infected with the disease. The damage was already done there was nothing I could do to reverse it. Now I want to work with people I can save. By writing this paper and researching the thinking behind the risky behavior that leads to contraction, I may have a chance to do that.
