Students
will create a portfolio through the social studies class to document their
work on the project. The project is evaluated through the portfolio which
will contain items such as the evaluation by the project consultant, a
written overview of the project, the original project proposal, the research
paper, the project self-evaluation form, photos/video of progress on the
project, and any appropriate drawings, graphs or charts. For students in social studies first term, the portfolio (excluding the research paper) will be due December 5. For students in social studies second term, the portfolio will be due May 5. Students in English second term will add the research paper to their portfolios and have them ready for the dress rehearsal on May 28. (All student writing must follow Helix Style Manual guidelines.) |
