Overview

Apple's i-Movie is an application that allows for the editing of digital images, video and sound. This digital editing program comes standard on all new Apple Computers. Using this program, students will be able to download video, import music, record voice overs, add transitions and import graphics to create a 30 second commercial.

All students will be briefly introduced to the 3-Stages of video production;

    1. Pre-Production: Brainstorming of ideas, creation of storyboard and scripts, assigning jobs/roles, creating props/need graphics, etc
    2. Production: Actual filming of commercial. Using the Storyboard, students will record ALL scenes. Usually this is done in several takes.
    3. Post Production: Actual Editing Process. Importing of Video to the computer and i-Movie. Editing the scenes, adding voice overs, graphics and titles. Exporting completed commercial.
