A Little Background....

Mr.Wilcox, Mrs. Trevino and Ms.Beltran are creating this course to be a model for the use of technology. The intent is to continue with high academic standards while increasing the variety of technology uses in the classroom. This is a work in progress. There are few if any models from which we can copy and/or modify the curriculum. Basically, the use of technology utilized in this course is a compilation of finding the best the web has to offer without sacrificing the integrity of the course. In addition, careful consideration has been given to improving the "application" of learning geography.

If this program is successful, it is hoped that it will be a model for other programs.

• Ms. Dianne Beltran - Helix Technology Teacher (8 years)- Ms. Beltran has contributed countless hours to the following aspects of this program:
  Creation of the web pages; On-line tutorials/job -aides; testing of Module units (modifications of Module units);
• Mrs. Paula Ann Trevino - Helix Geography Teacher (12 years) - Mrs. Trevino has contributed countless hours to the creation of PowerPoints, quizzes, exams, threaded discussions, and organizing of web pages.
• Mr. Garry Wilcox - Helix Geography Teacher (11 years) - Mr. Wilcox has contributed countless hours to the creation of Web Activities, unit organization, and web projects.
