Welcome to my webpage! I hope that both students and parents will find it a useful communication and resource tool. Please contact me by email or phone if you ever have a question or concern about this webpage, the course, or a grade. I am more than happy to reply and discuss it with you. My first goal this year is to better incorporate technology in my courses so that learning can be that much more enjoyable and skill-based. My second and most important goal is to have every student succeed and leave my class with a deeper understanding and appreciation for the social science subjects I teach.

Homework
Homework is typically assigned on a weekly basis. Assignments involve reading critically, charting texts, and problem solving. Many assignments incorporate technology skills as well.

Tests
Tests are always announced ahead of time and usually include objective and timed writing components.

Special Projects
The goal of assigning projects is to apply important course concepts to real life situations and/or current events. Special projects are also announced, and students are provided a detailed description of the project in advance.

Special Events / Field Trips
Since time and logistics are deterring factors, special events or field trips that provide course enrichment are at the student's personal discretion and initiative. Outside opportunities are typically given extra credit once
