Helix High PTSA Goal Greetings From Your PTSA President 2003—2004 Helix High PTSA GoalTo enhance communication between school, home and community Greetings From Your PTSA PresidentHelix PTSA looks forward to supporting our students and parents through a productive and challenging new year. We know that parent involvement is key to our students’ success. That involvement begins with effective communication between school and home. Look for vital information in this handbook, our PTSA newsletter and monthly PTA meetings. The next step is for PTSA to help you find the volunteer role that best suits your availability: whether it’s serving on the PTSA Board, selling football tickets, judging Senior Boards, assisting with clerical jobs or participating in a club or sport activity that your student is involved in – there is something for everyone at Helix. I look forward to serving as your PTSA President for the 2003-04 school year. Working together we will provide the best possible educational support for our students. Robin S. Peterson Objects of the PTA· To promote the welfare of children and youth in home, school, community, and place of worship · To raise the standards of home life · To secure adequate laws for the care and protection of children and youth · To bring into closer relation the home and the school, that parents and teachers may cooperate intelligently in the education of children and youth · To develop between educators and the general public such united efforts as will secure for all children and youth the highest advantages in physical, mental, social, and spiritual education. |
