The SEPA Program involves a longitudinal study to assess
the long term effect of educational interventions from health care
professionals on the educational and career choices of high school
students. Initially and ideally it involves a three year plan, but
the diversity of student needs creates a demand for a variety of
courses at a variety of times. In short, many students would not be
able to complete a full three year program. Therefore, a two year and
a one year model have been developed and are under trial in addition
to the original three year model. These trials require a much larger
population and Helix High School has been able to provide that
population.
