Three Year Intervention Sequence
Year 1, 10th grade, exposure to all health topic
areas through science curriculum, UCSD Student Health advocates and a
field trip to UCSD Medical Center
Year
2, 11th grade, deeper exposure to all health topic areas
through science curriculum, UCSD Medical school Physicians, some
Science Alliance organizations and several field trips.
Year
3, 12th grade,
student specific research with individualized help from physicians,
student health advocates, and UCSD facilities. Science Alliance
organizations may offer tours, internships or job
shadowing.
