Girls Club Kitchen Remodel
The Girls Club is a non-profit organization that rarely gets any money to make the necessary improvements to their buildings which are used by those in charge of running the program and the children involved in the program. Michele Gurr and Chelsey Van Luvanee decided to assist the Girls Club by remodeling the kitchen at the National City location.

Chelsey believes that, " with the kitchen newly remodeled the children and teachers can enjoy a fun environment to cook in. This project turned out to be one quite expensive yet they were fortunate enough to receive donations. The total cost for the project is approximately $750 and in donations they received between $500 and $550. Previously volunteers at the Girls Club, Michelle and Chelsey concluded the kitchen remodeling to be their senior project and are completely satisfied with the work they completed.

This Kitchen is preparing to look ten years younger after Michelle Gurr ands Chelsey Vanluvaney remodel it for their Senior Project.
Michelle and Chelsey pose for a pit cure at the Girls Club of San Diego where their big project is going to take place.
These happy girls are having a blast as they begin working on the kitchen.

Beach Clean-Up (top)

Sean Swing's senior project was one consisting of two different components. For the first component he participated in scuba diving classes. Sean exclaims how, "learning to scuba diving was more fun than i thought it would be, it was an awesome experience." After several scuba diving lessons Sean felt confident in his ability to scuba dive and his first project component was completed.

With temperatures rising, more and more people are due to attend the beach. Sean, friends and volunteers made the beach look much nicer for all those who plan who attend the beach by having a Beach Clean-Up. In order to ensure that the project be a success and that the beach gets as clean as possible, Sean spoke with the science teachers and discussed giving those students who attend the Beach Clean-Up extra credit in their science class. Thus, the students who participated in the Clean-Up not only got the satisfaction of knowing they helped their environment but also received some extra credit points.
